Call For Entries: The Richard H. Driehaus Competition, and news of an International Conference in Madrid

The Richard H. Driehaus Competition is now accepting proposals, and registration is now open for the Second International Conference on Traditional Building, Architecture and Urbanism: Timeless Architecture.

The Conference will take place at the School of Architecture of the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid and will be broadcast virtually on 17 and 18 November, 2021. The live program will feature panel discussions and talks on the various chosen topics. The registration can be done, both for the on-site and virtual modality, through the Conference website.

Prior to the start of the Conference, contributors to this year’s Journal of Traditional Building, Architecture and Urbanism will present their essays and scientific articles

The International Conference on Traditional Building Architecture and Urbanism: Timeless Architecture is organized by INTBAU, the Rafael Manzano Prize for New Traditional Architecture and the School of Architecture of the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, with the collaboration of the Fundación Ekaba, the Fundação Serra Henriques, and the Centro de Investigación de Arquitectura Tradicional (CIAT-UPM).

CALL FOR ENTRIES | The Richard H. Driehaus Architecture Competition Call has been published in the Spanish Government’s official bulletin and all the information on this year’s three locations is already available on the Competition website.

The Spanish Ministry of Transport, Mobility and Urban Agenda and INTBAU invite international entries from teams for the sites of Buitrago del Lozoya, Madrid, Valpuesta, Berberana, Burgos and Zubiri, Esteríbar, Navarra.

The deadline for registration and proposal submission is 9 February, 2022 at 19.00 (GMT+1 or Madrid time).
