Applications for the 2020 Award for Emerging Excellence in the Classical Tradition

Now in its fourth year, this award is accepting entries. The closing date is 24 February 2020.

This award is a collaboration between the Institute of Classical Architecture & Art (ICAA), The Prince’s Foundation (PF), and INTBAU. The award seeks to highlight one exceptional young individual who shows promise and skill in their early career in classical or traditional architecture, urban planning, landscape design, building crafts and the associated arts.

Applicants must be under the age of 35. The following are required on application.

• Application form

• Personal statement (maximum 200 words)

• Portfolio: PDF of a maximum of five 11 × 17 sheets (must describe your role and others’ roles, if applicable)

• CV (maximum 2 pages)

• Letter of Recommendation from an academic or professional contact describing the personal and leadership characteristics that make the entrant deserving of the Award for Emerging Excellence in the Classical Tradition.

2017’s Award for Emerging Excellence in the Classical Tradition recipient was Emily Bedford. In 2018 it went to Caitlin Shannon and in 2019 to the Architecture team Imanol Iparraguirre and Aritz Díez Oronoz.
