Hugh Kavanagh

Hugh Kavanagh works as a self-employed built heritage and archaeology surveyor in Ireland. He holds third level qualifications in architectural technology, applied building conservation and fine furniture design and making. Through his time working in the field of building survey and archaeology he has gained a unique combination of technical knowledge and practical experience of traditional architecture. He now hopes to apply this knowledge in the design of new buildings. He is also especially interested in teaching traditional architectural history, design and technology.

In 2016 he was a student at the inaugural INTBAU European Summer School in Classical Architecture in Sweden and writes a blog on the philosophy of traditional architecture.
