Paul Hanvey is a British Architectural Technologist born in 1956. He trained from 1972-1980 in part-time study at Southampton parallel with professional training and graduated with BSc Building from Nottingham Trent University. He is currently a Member of the British Institute of Architectural Technologists and an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Building.
Work
Paul Hanvey joined ADAM Architecture in 1982 and became an Associate in 1987 and a Director in 1996. He has over 25 years of experience, managing a wide range of buildings up to £10m in value, as team project leader. From 1979-1982 Paul Hanvey worked for D S Tucker & Partners as Architectural Assistant. He was responsible for technical information, working drawings and specifications on various industrial buildings. Prior to this, Mr. Hanvey worked for Aadver Designs, A J Dunning & Sons Ltd. and Brandt Potter & Partners.
Paul Hanvey’s interests lie within the field of new technology in architecture. His work includes alterations, extensions and repairs to numerous historic properties as well as new buildings, and he has specific expertise in design and detail of traditional and classical new buildings using modern materials.
Paul Hanvey is responsible for technical information produced within the practice, with substantial experience in compiling contract information, inspecting work and administering contracts on site.
Work categories include large private house alterations, housing developments for local authorities and private developers and health and education buildings. Paul Hanvey won the Copper Roofing Award in 1995 for works at the National Trust Nymans Gardens, West Sussex.
