Participants are kindly requested to make their own accommodation bookings. We regret that INTBAU cannot make reservations on behalf of the participants at The Venice Charter Revisited conference. This page is divided into four sections:
1. A link to the official Venice Tourist Office website, which has a wealth of accommodation options from basic to deluxe; and 1. The Venice Tourist Office website The official website of the Venice Tourist Office has a lot of options and can be searched by various criteria. The cheapest accommodation option we've found is to rent a small apartment, particularly if you are prepared to share with others who are attending the conference. There are dozens of apartments on the Venice Tourist Office website. When searching for accommodation, note that the venue, Teatro Piccolo Arsenale, is in the Castello district and that the San Marco district is the next closest location. The cheapest accommodation is, as usual, near the railway station in Cannareggio Ovest. There are bargains too in Dorsoduro, Santa Croce and San Polo, south of the Grand Canal. For hotels in these locations you should plan on taking the Vaporetto (water bus) to the Arsenale stop for the venue, or leave plenty of time to walk. 2. Hotels offering a special rate for those attending the Biennale.

Here are a few we found in a hurry:4. Nearby areas that may have less expensive options If you are having difficulty finding something affordable on the islands of Venice, try looking further away. Venezia-Mestre is a busy working town, 8 minutes away by train on the mainland. Lido di Venezia, is a summer resort, on the sandbar separating the lagoon from the sea, and should be affordable in November. The fine cities of Padova and Treviso to the west and north are about 33 minutes by train from Venezia Santa Lucia railway station. All these may provide more affordable hotel options. We will constantly update this page. Should you wish to add other hotels which offer good rates please contact us.
