INTBAU welcomes proposals from academic and non-profit organisations for partnered events that support our Charter principles. We can assist with event planning, marketing, advertising and staging - or by putting our name to another organisation's events. Partnering an event with INTBAU is a good way to take advantage of our project experience, bring your event to a worldwide audience and to attract a new audience to established events. Most of our events are partnered at some level.

Partnership levels

Full partnership
INTBAU becomes an equal partner in your event, and it is listed as an INTBAU Partnered Event on its own website page on our site. We can help with the planning, marketing and advertising of the event; we can receive registrations, take payments online, by cheque, bank transfer or credit-card-by-fax, and perhaps even stage the event. We might ask you for a contribution to the costs of the event, depending on the location, our involvement and costs. Both organisations receive equal billing.

Part partnership
We help you to market your event; or we take online registrations for it; or we help you to plan it. We can send speakers on special topics or organise a Call for Papers. Talk to us about the possibilities. We would usually ask to be listed as a Supporter or Partner on all your publicity materials.

Basic partnership
INTBAU lists your event on a separate page of our website and you do all the rest. The most straightforward and simple way we can help you. You would mention INTBAU in your programme, posters and so on.

Partnered event guides

We have produced a series of guides in PDF format:

  • to help you assess if your event is suitable for partnership with INTBAU;
  • to help your plan your event;
  • to give you a typical programme for a week-long design workshop;
  • to help you plan a conference; and
  • to help you decide how to market your event.

    You can also use the quicklinks at the top of the page.
