The INTBAU Network is the working name of the international organisation of individuals, associations and educators which we aim to set up at the conclusion of the Research Project in September 2001.  The Network will be an international umbrella association to promote traditional ("new") urbanism and the traditional building arts.

The Network will:

Encourage and promote co-operation between indivduals, local and regional organisations and educators around the globe;

Promote and disseminate information about traditional architecture and urbanism by means of the Internet, exhibitions and publications;

Co-ordinate action on design, urban and environmental issues;

Establish curricula for use by educational institutions;

Promote the creation of an archive of the work of the traditional design movement;

Research methods for the achievement of the movement's objectives;

Encourage co-operation with other arts and sciences which share our objectives.

INTBAU welcomes comments from anyone interested in traditional design, building and urbanism.   Those interested in participation in the Network are invited to contact the Research Fellow or your country's representative on the Steering Committee in the first instance.   We look forward to hearing from you!
