INTBAU Ireland was created in 2008. Its objective is to promote the general principles of INTBAU's Charter while encouraging new construction of Traditional Architecture and Urbanism within Ireland. INTBAU Ireland seeks to achieve this goal by drawing together all those interested in traditional design philosophies, sustainable urbanism, responsible community-based architecture and conservation of, and harmonisation with, the built and natural environments.
It is widely recognised that the most satisfying new designs are those which truly respect local distinctiveness and character. INTBAU Ireland will serve to encourage and celebrate the rich and vibrant architectural traditions that contribute to the creation of our beautiful places.
General membership of INTBAU is free and is open to all with an interest in the built environment. To join, please complete INTBAU’s on-line form at www.intbau.org/join.htm
