Masonry for beginners 20 - 26 July 2009 INTBAU - Training Centre in Archita

An intensive one week course designed for apprentices, architecture & arts students, young practitioners and individuals interested in traditional restoration with no experience or very limited experience in traditional restoration. Cost £495/person which includes tuition fees, accommodation for 7 days, 3 meals a day, protection equipment, tools, materials and local trips.

Main elements of the course:

  • introduction to traditional tools
  • plastering techniques based on lime and sand
  • brick work
  • problem solving attitude
  • drawing lessons
  • field trips
