The conference will emphasise the ecological character of traditional cities in the Mediterranean area.
This character is generated by a sustainable urban design in accord to the natural and social environment and by a proper use of material and building technologies.
The architecture of traditional cities is generated by the heritage. Thus any building interventions need to be carefully considered in relation to the environment and the historical context.

The fees are as follows: EUR 150 before March 30th, 2007 and EUR 100 for PhD students. The registration fee will be EUR 200 after 1 April2007.
