Introduction

INTBAU Ireland is pleased to announce its inaugural Summer Conference, "Design Quality in Architecture and Urban Design", to be held at the Irish Architectural Archive, 45 Merrion Square, Dublin 2, Rebublic of Ireland, on 29 June 2009.

In the production of today’s architecture and urban design, the term "Design Quality" is much used - and abused. INTBAU believes that true quality in the built environment is about responding sensitively to positive aspects of local character, from the development of traditional movement patterns to the use of local materials. Quality is all about creating lovely places and spaces, designed with the majority of the population in mind.

The event is sponsored by the Irish Architectural Archive to whom we are very grateful.
