Building and Teaching in the 21st Century 30 June - 1 July 2006 TAG symposium This symposium is being held at a significant period of development for contemporary traditional and classical architecture.   The skills and knowledge of traditional architecture has survived the advent of Modernism into the 21st century through the pioneering work of a number of Architects and Theorists.   Their persistence has spurred on a new generation of Architects and academics to take up the challenge of teaching and practice.

Today for the first time in many decades, a significant professional body has formed which is both academically vocal, commercially successful and promises to continue this tradition.   This symposium provides an opportunity to discuss the direction and challenges that the 21st century holds for traditional architecture and urban design.   The event will take place at the Notre Dame University London Centre, 1 Suffolk Street, SW1Y 4HG
